memorable moments:
~the realization that it really is Leonardo DiCaprio
~the night they burned the house down
~all of the rest of it
but what was eating gilbert grape because I'm thinkin'
that if we find that out maybe we can help Others.

30 days of night
It's tricky about Movies.
Now this is a Really good movie.
But it's about Vampires.
And I'm Scared of Vampires - and Zombies.
I mean it's nothing Personal.
I figured out why I'm scared of them:
~it's the look in their Eyes
~and the way they Move
~like all of a Sudden they are There
~to me they seem a little mean
but ya wanna know what?
There's Something Graceful About Vampires - and Zombies.
They Move Around Kinda Like Ballet Dancers.
plus in the ending of 30 days of night Josh Hartnett
disintegrates into ashes in the arms of Melissa George
and it makes her sad...
but she Just Knows
that it is Meant To Be.

tombstone
This is definitely a Guy Movie.
Oh I've seen it.
And I like it.
It's really good.
Sure it's Bloody and Violent. :[
But look at all those good Movie Stars that are in it:
~Kurt Russell (Overboard, The Thing)
~Val Kilmer (Heat - Yes!)
~Bill Paxton (Titanic, Aliens - ya gotta love Bill Paxton)
~Michael Biehn - (The Terminator, Aliens)
~Sam Eliot - (Gettysberg, Frogs, Ghost Rider)
And of course there were Others.
Well - it has Charleton Heston in it too - doesn't it?
But it has Meaning in it too.
Ya know the thing I Really like about Tombstone though -
is the ending.
when they do the dance.

fallen
For me Fallen is not just about the Invisible Demon who
gets around by Touch.
I do love this movie - and really Denzel Washington is a
great Actor. And he is so versitile - I mean he plays nice
guys and even is convincing as the Bad Cop.
And of course Ethan Hawke - whenever I see Ethan Hawke in a
movie I just want to give him a big Hug.
Yes - Fallen is One of the Good Ones.
but for me the defining moment in Fallen comes at the
beginning - and it has come back to me many times - and
that is when:
James Gandolfini takes the Final Stroll down Cell Aisle
while all the Time singing - Time Is On My Side.
it just doesn't get any better than that folks
gets around by Touch.

incredulous disbelief.

...in the morning.
It's not just about Jackson Pollock though.
It's Really about Lee Krasner.
Becuase whe set aside her Life for the Man
she Loved.
Because she just Knew that it was her Destiny.
and it's about Ed Harris.
who Really nailed it - didn't he.

War of the Worlds (1953)
War of the Worlds is right on top of my list
of Old Science Fiction Movies.
It is a mean-Aliens-invade-the Earth movie - and
does not disappoint in that Respect.
Right from the start it brings on the Action - and
Really never stops - until the thin Slimey hand ceases
to move - like Capt. Miller when he Finds Peace at last.
The Special Effects are first rate - and the acting is
non-existent.
But I have a few Issues with these Early Sci-fi movies -
in spite of my great attraction to them:
~The women are allowed to be intelligent and beautiful -
but must cry and show weakness at any sign of danger -
must serve the coffee - all while wearing a dress.
~The heroes are Men - and handsome at that - and in this
particular movie the dumbest and first to be zapped by the
Aliens is a South of the Border Person and I'm sure there
are Smart People residing there too.
~Talk about somebody's idea of setting the standard for
type-casting and showing us what is what.
~The military always looks stupid in these movies - as a
Whole - but certainly today that would not Fly - with our
up to snuff really cool Troops.
~Even God is Glorified in the Early sci-fi movies - and I'm
not knocking that folks - but somehow that got last along
the way - however that is just their Opinion. : ]
~In the end - the Wisdom of the Sovereign Creator is blatantly
Obvious - when it is the common germ that puts the whole matter
to rest.
Really though - I actually love these Early Sci-Fi Movies
and actually feel better having gotten this off of my chest.
One final thing - I thought the remake of W of the W - starring
Tom Cruise was ablsolutely Fantastic - I just thought the director
got lost along the way when Tom did in Tim Robbins with the Shovel.
Was it something Personal?
Or what?

i am number
Here's another movie I got burned on.
Someone came to my house - wait a minute.
No one ever comes to my house.
But really folks this really good movie is
directed by D.J. Caruso.
Now I was going to tell you who D. J. Caruso
is - and what other movies he directed - but
everytime I try to do that something appears
that says that they are going to:
Black Out Wikipedia
Well if they do that - then that may put an
end to my writing career here on my really
cool Blogs.
What is going on here folks.

transsiberian
Transsiberian is about -
how Woody Harrelson plays a really nice guy as
compared to a f*ing nutjob in wag the dog
No - I'm just kidding folks..
Transsiberian is really good.
I mean - it has Ben Kingsley in it.
And you get to see a train going through Siberia.
And while Jesse (Woody's wife) and Carlos (a really
cool guy) exchange meaningful glances behind the back
of Abby (Kate Mara) Jesse gets really mad at Carlos
and leaves him in the Cold.
Well - all's well that ends well cause Abby - after having
gone thought the mill - hikes out to get what she really
deserves after Jesse has a moment of Truth and tells her.
Did I mention that Emily Mortimer~Eduardo Noriega~and
especially Thomas Kretschmann are also in it?
Transsiberian is whatcha might call a 'sleeper.'
Although hard as you may try - you won't sleep through this one.
folks
A film by Brad Anderson.
you can't escape your lies

michael clayton
This most amazing movie is about -
George Clooney.
It is written and directed by Tony Gilroy.
Michael Clayton is about a lawyer.
George Clooney.
Also acting in Michael Clayton are people like:
Tom Wilkinson.
Who was born for the very purpose of
acting in the movie In The Bedroom.
Tilda Swinton.
Sydney Pollack - who died.
Michael Clayton is about:
Wall Street.
And how Justice is done but somebody's gotta go to jail.
Philadelpha.
And how someone has to die before we
can move on.
and most of all Michael Clayton is about finding out
and really not being able to wrap your mind around it.

burn after reading
This movie is great.
Of course with George Clooney in it you always
are going to have something off color. : [
But really George Clooney is great in this movie.
As is Brad Pitt - and if you watch this movie you
will see Brad Pitt in a way - I guarantee you -
you will never see him in any movie before or
after this.
John Malkovich is so good in Burn After Reading it is
really amazing - but then what else is new folks.
I absolutley love Frances McDormand ever since I saw her
in Fargo and then she got Best Actress.
Tilda Swinton - a British actress - plays JM's wife in this
but she is really having an affair with GC. She got Best
Supporting Actress in Michael Clayton which I will write
about tomorrow.
This movie is a comedy.
It was written and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen.
need I say more?
