in cold blood

This is a horror movie.

In Cold Blood takes you to a Place where you don't want to go.

In Cold Blood is about A Few Good Men.

It is about Truman Capote and William Blake.

And In Cold Blood is About Truth.

About Discovering Truth - and then Knowing what to do with it.

What do you do with Truth?

After the Initial Shock of it all you Learn to Live With It.

And in the End - it's all about Living.

About getting up to see the Great Light in the Sky just One More Time.

And then about Letting It Go.

Somethng that stidh Will Never Learn.

No - I'm not gonna let it go.

At least not until I just have a chance to 'talk' to him.

the jackal

For me there are only two people in this Movie.

And I love The Jackal.

I think it is a Really good movie.

First - I think that Bruce Willis nails it here are far as
portraying a Cold, Heartless, Dysfunctional Killer.

And Second - The Jackal Is My Favorite Jack Black movie.

I mean I always feel bad that Bruce Willis uses him for target
practice - and that he gets his arm blown off - but I just can't
help REALLY liking Jack Black in this Movie.

romeo + juliet

the one directed by Baz Luhrmann

starring:

~Leonardo DiCaprio

~Clare Danes

~Jesse Bradford

~Brian Dennehy

~Pete Postlethwaithe

and the rest of the cast

I like this movie because it is Really Cool.

You know - up to date.

But Shakesepeare got it Wrong.

I mean - it mkaes for a great Story - but they shouldn't have died.

They should have Lived Happily Ever After.

But no disrespect is meant in the Writing Of This Post.

I have nothing but the Utmost Respect for William Shakespeare -

but to me he was a little Dreary.

That's all.

I heart Hamlet - Starring Mel Gibson.

But that's not what this Post is all about...

this post is about Living Happily Ever After.

finding neverland

Directed by Marc Forster

Finding Neverland is simply a Good Movie.

I googled James M. Barrie - and I saw that there
is some underlying issue with him - but really -
what counts here is what he gave us and that is
what I am focusing on.

Some highlights for me are:

~when Johnny Depp does the dance with the dog (it's
always about doing the dance and always about the dog
folks cause they are always there for ya and don't let
ya down)

~anytime Dustin Hoffman makes an appearance

~jumping on the bed - with kids it's always about jumping
on the bed

~symbolic rain in the theatre

~and this is about Johnny Depp - in what I think is his
finest moment when he isn't dressed up as a character - but
of course there are Others

~Julie Christie

~why did she have to die in order to go to Neverland?

~why does someone always have to die?

Overcrowding of the Planet perhaps

one more thing about sweeney todd

I've made a Connection here.

That Connection was made when I picked up the
dvd case in which Sweeney Todd lives and I read
the words:

'...dark vision of a wronged man obsessed with revenge.'

And I immediately thought back to the 10th Anniversary of 9/11.

I remembered that while reading the Comments on a Blog that day -

That Some Of The Commenters Were Obsessed By Vengence In Their
Heart - Over This Terrible Thing That Had Happened To Our Country.

And I Remember Thinking That If Someone Wants To Live Out The
Rest Of Their Life With Hatred In Their Heart Then That Is
Their Problem -

BUT WE MUSTN'T PASS ON TO THE CHILDREN THIS FEELING OF HATEFUL
REVENGE AND IF WE DO -

well then - 'they' Really will have carried out 'their' mission
successfully to hurt Our Country.

sweeney todd - the demon barber of fleet street

I keep going back to Sweeney Todd.

Everybody already knows that Sweeney Todd
is about Three Geniuses:

Stephen Sondheim/Tim Burton/Johnny Depp

Everyone And Everything Else Connected to This
Movie Is REAL Genius.

That's it - Really.

and also - for me - this movie is about the director's WIFE.
